Cambodian Pepper Conference in Tramung (Cambodia)
On August 31st 2023, the first Cambodian Pepper Farmer Conference was held in Tramung (Memot district, Kampong Cham province) and attracted a large number of pepper farmers and local stakeholders. The conference focused on the experiences of growing pepper in Tramung and the benefits of organic farming.
The dialogues between CPSF and the smallholder pepper farmers during this event, which was the first of its kind for the pepper sector in Cambodia, allowed for the exchange of profound insights and lived experiences in an inclusive and collaborative environment.
The large turnout is a strong sign of the healthy dynamism and participatory spirit of the smallholder farmers of the Cambodian pepper sector.
